Right from the start, the room smacked of cigarette smoke, which was a bit of a punch in the face given that there was a sign saying it was a non-smoking room. The bed seemed okay, but I did a double-take when I noticed how the bed wheels were just screwed into some blocks of wood. Super strange! The air conditioning was another letdown—looked really dirty and did not feel like it was doing its job very well. Oh, and I noticed that the sliding window wouldn’t even lock properly. Felt a bit unsafe, honestly. You want to be able to lock up at night, especially when the property had a vibe that just didn’t sit right with me. Free toiletries? They were there, but nothing special. Just the standard tiny shampoo and soap that didn't even leave my skin feeling clean. Housekeeping must be a bit lazy because I found a cigarette butt right by the front door, which really gave me the heebie-jeebies. I tell you, I felt like I was in a wild west motel rather than a cozy spot for a family getaway. Then there were the noise issues. I could hear a party from next door that went on until 3 AM—just sitting on the chairs outside my room, dragging them around. It was like living next to a rock concert! I didn’t dare call reception since there was no phone in the room, and it was just a stressful situation all around. On the plus side, the water pressure in the bathroom was fantastic! I did enjoy that shower, once I figured out how to navigate the tricky hot and cold taps—which were totally reversed, by the way. It was a little dicey when my son ended up burning his hand. The location was okay since it was near where we needed to go, but I wouldn't want to come back here, especially not with kids in tow. I was just glad to get out in the morning. Seriously, there are way better options out there for the same price.

Not much. It was adequate for the price.
It was noisy. One good Thai restaurant in walking distance but everything else was junk food. Not really my class of place but we couldn't book anywhere else at the time that was not exorbitant.

Price was good. Staff were nice. Just a simple cheap Motel to stay in for the night.
The location wasn't great. I should have spent the extra money to stay in a nicer place in the city, but it was fine if you're really on a budget.

It is close to the city, fairly central for travel to suburbs on the southside.
No negatives, it suited my purpose.
